"Casa Di Nonna Silla" is ideal for traveling families, for meetings and business trips, for a romantic holiday in a quiet and private environment, and for those who wish to relax in the midst of uncontaminated nature.
The name was not chosen by chance, this was truly Nonna Silla's house, a wonderful grandmother who I loved and still love very much, even though she is no longer here with me.
The house that originally belonged to the founder Floriani was a single block of flats (the brick wall in the living room is proof of this, there was a door there that connected it to the rest of the building), then it was divided among the sons and this a piece was given to Giovanni Floriani, Nonna Silla's father.
I don't actually know much about what happened afterwards, it all starts with my memories as a child.
I remember always hearing it called the “Casa Vecia” (the Old House), as evidenced by many of the woods found inside.
I remember learning to cook tomato puree and jam (especially chestnut jam), preparing endless rows of potato gnocchi (I was the person in charge of the grater).
Outside, before the restoration, there was a rose garden that went up along the entire facade full of very fragrant pink flowers.
In the portico my grandfather taught me how to shuck corn cobs, or shuck corn cobs (in dialect) with a rusty contraption, and how to feed pigeons left without a mother dove.
As a child I shuttled from the meadow to the stable to secretly feed grass to the rabbits, against the wishes of my grandfather, who maintained that the animals could only eat hay and fodder otherwise their bellies would swell.
Sitting on the outside steps how many peas I peeled together with my grandmother, many of which ended up raw directly into my little mouth.
So did I get the idea? This house like this town is part of me, of my history and of my childhood and sharing all this with you, dear guests, makes me immensely happy.
I hope you can discover in Cison di Valmarino that magic that I have always seen and discovered since I was a child.
It is the country in which to get lost, it is the country in which to become a child again, it is the country of the world of fairy tales.
Our guests will have the opportunity to appreciate and purchase the products of local artisans, enjoy the view of the places and experience the flavors of the place thanks to the various food and wine itineraries, get lost among cultural events and exhibitions, take long walks and marvel at the numerous gardens and splendid landscapes present in the area.
A short distance from the structure, those staying with us will find monuments and places of interest to satisfy their desire for knowledge.
Thanks to its location, our structure is perfect for Christmas shopping at the Christmas Market and for the Artigianato Vivo fair in our city.
